The first day
Welcome program prepared by Slovakian pupils.
Also children from kindergarden welcomed our partners with beautiful songs.
Welcome ceremony with the Mayor of Vráble.
Presentations and films about traditions and crafts with short quizzes
Collages for the Calendar - created by students working in mixed groups.
The second day
Excursions in the capital Bratislava
We saw the castle, Michael´s gate, the President Palace, Slovak national theatre, City hall,...
The third day
History lesson - We were talking about two significant events in Slovakian history . You can see more here.
Quiz as the contest. Winner group got some chocolates.
Workshop - Crafts- Students and teachers had possibility to try some of Slovakian crafts - basket knitting, bobbin and knitting, painting on glass, baking and decorating gingerbreads, folklore singing and dancing. We knew traditions of our partners.
In the afternoon - Festive programme - Traditions in Europe
Slovakian, Greek, Italian, Lithuanian, Portuguese students showed to parents and all community traditions of their countries.
After that - great Goodbye party.
The fourth day
Excursion to close town - Nitra
We saw the castle, St. Emerem´s cathedral,
the statue - Corgoň, Svätopluk square.
We again spent nice time together. Thank you for all your cooperation and work.
